2025 Ins & Outs: Time For a Business Glow Up
As we step into 2025, the energy feels distinctly different. In this new episode of The Hayley Lloyd Show, I go into a reflection on the lessons of 2024, the shifts we’re experiencing collectively, and what might lie ahead.
One of the predictions I go into is around the type of marketing that is going to do really well in 2025, & how you can start to shift your brand, & elevate your marketing to ensure you don't get left behind.
This conversation blends personal reflections, predictions for 2025, and insights into how we can collectively align with the changes this year is bringing.

Hello, sweet souls, and welcome back to the podcast. Today I'm going to be going into what is in and what is out in 2025. So what are we going to be leaving in 2024? And what are we going to be bringing into 2025? This is partly like a reflection on the year just gone and what I think we should be collectively trying to kind of move in and bring into 2025. But it's also a little bit of like a prediction of where I see the industry going and some of the things that I think, collectively, we'll be moving through Now.
Speaker 1:Some of the things and trends that I guess I want to pick up on as well before we go into this episode is a couple of things that have been happening astrologically and in the world as well. So for many of you, you probably already know, but in 2023, march 2023, the Pluto sign went into Aquarius, so previous to that, it was in Capricorn. It was in Capricorn for like a couple of decades, I think, and when it was in Capricorn, it was all about like creating hierarchical systems, like a lot of buildings. So we saw a lot of like oppression. We saw a lot of systems being built that were built on like dishonesty and as we have come into Aquarius, a lot of people have felt this shift, and Aquarius is all about basically coming into the authenticity and the truth of who you really are, and so anything that is inauthentic or that people don't feel like is based in truth has started to come tumbling down and a lot of people have felt like their own businesses in as such as well. Anything that wasn't serving them or wasn't aligned anymore has actually been removed, and that has actually been quite a painful process for a lot of people. If you've been through it, you will know, and I definitely felt like that happened to me and it started happening actually around 2023. And especially from like September of 2023 2023, I did this realignment into like manifestation and everything, but then, coming into 2024, I did not trust that enough and I kind of pivoted back to what I'd always done and I then had a lot of pain in 2024 when I was trying to basically battle against what was really authentic to me, and I do think it's worth noting that.
Speaker 1:I think a big season of 2025 is really going to be solidifying a lot of this. Now, when you pair that with, we are collectively going into the universal year number of nine. Now nine is the final year that we can all have, so there's one to nine. We all have a personal year and then we all have a universal year, and so the universal number that we all have is essentially what the collective is moving through. So last year was eight, this year is nine. So this year is basically all going to be about like completing cycles, completing projects that we've been done and completing processes too. So I think there's going to actually be a lot of processes that are going to be completing healing cycles that are going to be completing healing cycles that are going to be completing, and this transition that we've gone through from Capricorn into Aquarius, I think, is really going to complete. So I think there's going to be a lot of truth that is going to come out in 2025, both for us personally, but also for us as a collective.
Speaker 1:We're already seeing a lot of this happening just in the world. If you're scrolling through TikTok, you'll probably see it. Things are starting to come to truth, things are starting to come to light and people are starting to see behind the curtain of a lot of huge corporations and like models and business models and just ways of like operating through the world that were not serving the collective but were serving more of the individual. Those are starting to come down because Aquariusarius that sign is very much about community and networking and doing things for the good of the whole. As I think we're really going to start to see a lot of these things starting to come to completion this year, a lot of truth is going to come out so that then we can go into our one year as a universal year next year and kind of almost restart as a collective.
Speaker 1:So from like a this isn't like a business perspective, but like I'm really interested to see what's going to happen this year, having that universal nine number and knowing that my prediction is a lot is going to come to light this year. There's going to be so much light shined on things that have been hidden from us and been hidden from ourselves so that we can almost have a fresh start next year. So something just to kind of bear in mind, of like for you personally what healing cycles or what projects have you been working on that may need to come to a close? What needs to complete this year? Is there anything that has been resisting that you have personally been resisting? That actually could be not in your favor. If so, my prediction is those things are going to complete this year, even if you don't want them to, because I think this is the energy that we're really moving into, and so, for myself, I went through a lot of like the pain and the frustration of needing to kind of realign me into certain directions of my business. I needed to go through that in 2024. And I think it's all going to be completing and cementing for me in 2025. That's how I view it Now.
Speaker 1:I've been talking about shifting from old paradigm, more patriarchal ways of running our business, and shifting into more of a matriarchal, authentic, honest and feminine way of doing a business for quite a while. I mean, that's the entire basis of feminine authority, especially for women. This is applicable if you are not a woman as well, but especially for women, we have been indoctrinated into believing that building a business and creating success has to look a certain way, and I don't believe it does, and I think 2025, again, we're going to see a lot more of bringing in more of this matriarchal way of leading, of building. I think we're going to see a lot of that coming into 2025. And I think it's important that we kind of understand what this looks like. So I think this is really going to shape the future that we're going into for the next decade, for the next nine years ahead.
Speaker 1:I think this year is really going to do a lot of shaping of the kind of leadership, of the kind of content, even, and the kind of people that we want to follow. I think there's going to be a lot of solidity and clarity that's going to come from this year, but I think it's going to mean kind of moving away from what has always been done and the systems that have previously supported us and always been a reliable way of, like, making money or growing our businesses. So, for example, instead of, like you know, hustling for success, actually learning to listen to our cycles and learning to come home to like what's authentic to us, instead of following like what gurus say and outsourcing our powers, we're going to actually come back into our intuition and really learn like what we want to do. Instead of creating content that we think should be going viral and following the trends, I think there's going to be a real shift into longer form and more authentic. I say authentic we're going to get into that word a little bit today but like more honest representations of the kind of content that you want to create, and I think there's going to be a real rise of content creators that actually follow that trend. So this is the kind of things that I'm talking about, where everything that has worked previously, I think there's going to be a reshuffling this year and it's going to be a real chance for you to find grounding and solidity on how you want your business to run and the kind of content that you want to be creating and what you want your success to be built on. Like. I made a decision a couple of years ago that I didn't want to just build my success on like how much money I was making and the amount of like followers that I was garnering. I wanted to actually create impact, and that looked like me actually leaving certain circles in the coaching industry, leaving certain bubbles, disconnecting myself with certain like coaches or people that were kind of pushing that message, and it was really a coming back to myself. So we're going to go into all of this a little bit, but let's go through some of the ins and the outs from my prediction brain. Okay, number one, and this is probably my biggest lesson of 2024 actually is we are going to stop and this is the out operating from shoulds and have tos.
Speaker 1:There have been so many phases of this industry and I've seen so many people struggle because they are building their business and creating content in a way that they feel like they should do. And the one thing that can actually really harm this, especially if you are a newer business owner, is mentorship. Now, mentorship is where someone tells you what to do based on what has worked for them. Now, that can be really really helpful if you're at a certain phase of business, but what it typically does is gets you to just replicate what someone else is doing, and I don't think that that's particularly helpful. And the time that I have just been given mentorship of like this is what I've done.
Speaker 1:I've ended up kind of losing my voice and even at the start of 2024, I went through this period where I just bought a house. I manifested the exact house on my vision board. It was actually crazy. Like the entire process of that was absolutely wild. And I found myself in the Gold Coast in this beautiful house that I own, and I really kind of had this self doubt moment where I was like, oh my god. I'm a mortgage owner now and, based on my own experience with you know, seeing my dad take on a mortgage and the experiences that he had it actually felt really heavy initially and I actually spent a couple of months really trying to find my footing and to navigate through that and it created a lot of doubt.
Speaker 1:Actually, becoming a homeowner created a lot of doubt for me. I was like, can I really do this? Am I really good enough to be able to own this? How am I just going to sabotage it? Is this just going to create loads of pressure on stress? And so, because I was experiencing doubt and this is also the irony I had a really big launch. I had a $280,000 launch in January and I finished that launch and I was like I don't know what to do. And it was because of this self-doubt that started like leaking in to everything. And so, because I was like I don't know what to do, despite having all of this knowledge, despite having just created huge success, I started doubting that I had the answers and I started doubting that I knew what was best and this launch had also been one of the easiest launches I'd ever had.
Speaker 1:It was just. Everything just happened so easily, and it was ironically when I was talking mostly about manifestation and so I decided to hire someone who was purely mentorship. He is a brilliant coach in himself, but it wasn't what I needed at the time and during the six months that we were coaching again, this has nothing to do with him as a coach. He genuinely cares so much, but this is what happens when you outsource your power to someone else. Happens when you outsource your power to someone else, I started trying to fit on all of the ways that he was doing, things which were completely different to the way that I wanted to run my business, and so everything that had been working for me up until this point. I was like that's not good enough. I need to try something different. And I started trying all of this different type of content, all of these different processes.
Speaker 1:I like restructured my entire business model because I had outsourced my power to someone else and said they know better than me, and all that did for six months is. I just felt frustrated. I felt like it was an uphill battle. I was also told, like you know, this is what's always worked for you. Just keep on doing this Like why would you shift into this other thing that is unknown for you? And so it stopped me from talking about the things that I really wanted to do. I took this mentorship as gospel and I allowed it to basically run. I was operating my business from shoulds and it created so much pain and discomfort. It was such an uphill battle. We still made plenty of money, we still had successful launches, but I didn't feel good and I did not create this business to be going through like mini mental breakdowns, like every two weeks, like I just didn't.
Speaker 1:And I had this one launch I spoke about this in the last episode, where I just had this coming to my knees moment and I was just like I'm done, like I'm done, outsourcing my power, doing the things that I should be doing, and I need to do this in alignment with where my heart is going. You know, I was deeply connected to spirit. Like spirit was fully channeling through me and was coming so strongly into, like meditations, like my Nana was coming through, like guiding me to these, like weird, serendipitous, like events, like taking me to a psychic, and the psychic was like you're doing the wrong thing, like you need to be doing this thing and said, like manifestation, I can do another podcast episode if you're interested in that. But I was getting so many signs and I was ignoring them because I was scared and it created such a spiral for me and eventually I decided fuck it, I'm going into full alignment and I'm disregarding any obligation that I feel like I should have to my audience or to a certain way of doing things and I tuned into what was important to me and literally the quantum shift that happened after that was so fast.
Speaker 1:Content started popping off again, things were starting to go viral, tiktok's blowing up my highest cash month in literally so long, probably my highest ever cash month happened because I followed alignment. You cannot fake that, you cannot make that up, and it just really reminded me the importance of following your passion, of especially if you're spiritual, asking spirit, like what should I be doing? Asking God, like what should I be doing? Show me my next step, support me with this, support me in surrendering my need to control so that I can do the thing that I know in my heart I'm meant to do. Show me the directions that I'm meant to go in. Show me the aligned highestires you know, and really trusting that. So I'm actually really grateful for the lessons of this first part of the years.
Speaker 1:I'm really really glad that I did actually do that coaching with the mentorship, because it taught me, it showed me so plainly you now have the skills, you have the knowledge, you just need to action. Like I have literally either had a private mentor or been in a very high level mastermind for the past five years and I was like this is time just to action. And this is the thing you will get to a stage where you're just like I have all of the skills now I just need to action this and that's perfect, you know. And that kind of brings me into another thing that is out, which is this pyramid style of investment, and I got so swooped into this recently and it's a very, very easy thing to get indoctrinated into because it is, in some levels, very easy to grow when you are in a pyramid kind of culture or bubble that prioritizes and really preaches that you will only make money if you keep on investing.
Speaker 1:And I categorically do not believe in this. But it's so easy to get swept up in that kind of marketing and it reminds you that if you aren't investing big enough, then how can you expect to grow? And I think there is always a time for us to invest, when we need to fill an energetic gap, we need to break through an energetic ceiling, when we need to learn a skill and when we need to heal. If we are just investing for the sake of investing and to stay in the pyramid, because we have outsourced our power to someone else, because we have then created the belief of I believe that I can't be successful without being in this pyramid, without coaching. With this coach, we have taken away our own power and I've done podcast episodes about this previously, but I previously have done this a couple of years back.
Speaker 1:This is again no shade to any coaches. In fact, it was a really, really great coaching experience, but I started to get indoctrinated in this very expensive private coaching to stay in this pyramid because it was so easy for me to make money and I outsourced my power and it actually took about a year for me to rebuild my confidence again, to trust that I had the resources inside of myself, inside of my own body. I had the knowledge inside of my brain, I had the capacity and the ability to be able to make it work myself without a mentor and obviously this year, in 2024, I disregarded that again and it's been like something that I've had to keep on kind of coming back to over and over again of like don't make an investment out of I need to or I should, or it's going to make me more money if I do this. Don't outsource your power. Like really analyze, like why am I making this investment? Am I building a skill? Important? You need to build skills and if you're in the first five years of business, you're going to be building a lot of skills and you need to do that.
Speaker 1:Energetic capacity when are you going to be expanding your mind? Proximity to other people that are doing incredible things is important Again, especially in those five years. And then also healing Like you need to heal, you just need to heal. Those are three areas that are really important and then you'll get to another stage, like I will get to a stage in a couple of years time where, potentially, I want to scale past a certain point and I may hire someone specifically for that, but, like at the moment, I don't feel like I need it, so why would I? And so that's pyramid style investment cycles is out and instead you want to specifically decide, like where do I need to, or want to, or feel called to, or feel expanded to invest, and not buying into fear and really tuning into intuition of like what do you need? What is important to you this year? You know what does your business need. You know your business is a consciousness as well. Ask your business, what do you need? So, like, if you are currently, you know, throwing spaghetti on the wall, you are posting it all hours of the day and still nothing's working, then you have a marketing skill gap. You need to fill that. That doesn't just happen, and so I highly recommend coming into the House of Authority, because that is probably one of the best places where I give you direct feedback on your content. You know it's not pay to be in my proximity. I will give you feedback on how to elevate your skill.
Speaker 1:If you are currently feeling like you're at an energetic ceiling, you need to expand your capacity because, again, that doesn't happen just by sitting in isolation and not knowing what is happening. If you are feeling triggered all the time and you're going through these ups and downs of like emotions all the time, then you probably need healing. Invest in those places. That's important, but just really notice the difference between investing in those areas because desire is fueling you and it feels really exciting and juicy, and all this is exactly what I need versus I'm scared that if I don't, I won't make it. I'm scared that if I don't, I'll be left behind. I'm scared that if I don't, people won't like me. I'm scared that I'll piss someone off or step on someone's toes if I don't keep on investing. I'm scared that I don't have what it takes without that person shouting me out that story or whatever. Know the difference, because one is following your intuition, the other is outsourcing your power to someone else. So I think that's another thing that's going to be left behind. Another thing is going to be, and this is an interesting one. I think that what is going to be left out is the illusion of full authenticity on social media.
Speaker 1:Now, I started talking about this in 2024 and it kind of ruffled a couple of feathers where I was like you know, I didn't start this business to be an influencer, like I didn't. That's not what I decided to do, and people got really caught up with this. You know it was. Am I being an influencer? Am I not? And I really just want to like clarify what I meant here is like I didn't show up to tell people like exactly what's going on in my life at every single point and take people through like the depths and the throes of that and tell them what juice I'm having in the morning and what I'm having for lunch and what I'm having here, blah, blah, blah. However, some things around especially if you are like a relationship coach, you help people with identity shifting or whatever some parts of your life are going to be relevant for you to share because it's part of your brand, you know. So if you're sharing about your relationship and it's relevant to what you are selling, that's not influencing. That's strategic content, you know, and so I think it's important to know that.
Speaker 1:But there can be also such an oversharing in this industry of like taking our journey, our audience, on the journey of everything that we are going through all of the time, and I just kind of got a bit bored of that at the start of 2024. I was like I actually want to kind of go through some of this stuff privately. I want to have separation between my life and what I show on social media and Seth Godwin Godwin, however you say his surname, my friend Aaron, sent me this podcast where he was basically talking about this concept and he was like I think we're going to really see a rise in people that are creating almost caricatures and like showing up as those caricatures and not sharing every single intimate detail of their life. Now, obviously I share quite a lot on my podcast, but that's because I feel drawn to share it, but I don't feel like I now have to share anything. And on my social media on my it, but I don't feel like I now have to share anything. And on my social media, on my stories, I really don't share that much. Like even you know, over like New Year's, everyone was sharing like what they personally traveled through in 2024. And I was like I don't feel aligned to do that this year, so I'm not going to do it.
Speaker 1:And actually I am appreciating like a degree of privacy at the moment as I navigate through certain things, and that's not to say that like I won't ever talk about them, but like I'm going to show up authentically in the way that I know what my interests are, I know what my authority is, I know the way that I speak about things, I know how to create content so that it sounds like me. But authenticity doesn't have to sound like here's all of the things that I've been going through all of the time. It doesn't need to look like airing all of that unless you want it to Like. If you're an influencer and you're just an influencer and that's what you do, you share your life then you know it's completely different like subject matter. But I do think that there is going to be like a shift in the way that we deliver content and I think people are going to get really, really good at becoming these content creators that almost create a caricature and like create this character that people want to follow and that could potentially create also like a degree of separation, which will be healthier, I think, for all of us as we are building businesses, because I think there is nothing more unhealthy than having our business and our lives completely blended, because then you can't fully switch off or take time off without getting in your head about it, because the things are too so combined and I've never liked, you know, going out for dinner with friends and like having my camera out to my phone out all the time. I just don't like doing that. I prefer to like take a couple of photos, maybe post it afterwards, but I want to be present and that's a really big part of manifestation as well as like being able to be present in moments and like just feeling grounded in those moments. And and that does come with like a degree of like separation between the business and what you're doing and like your real life. And so I think my friend Erin she created a really great podcast episode or a TikTok or something, where she was talking about the fact that she didn't think that we should be authentic anymore. Go and give it a watch, because it's a really interesting one.
Speaker 1:I think another thing that's going to be out is neglecting the body and soul as we are building a business. There has been such a glamorization and this has been for years, not just in 2024, of like people overworking themselves to the place of like burnout or illness or sickness and almost glamorizing showing up even when they don't feel like showing up. And 2024, my word for coming into 2025 is passion, and like I am making a commitment to show up when I feel passionate, and like if I don't want to show up, I'm not going to show up, and the reason that I can do. That is because my authority is so not based on my day to day showing up, but on my skills and on the body of work that I've created, that I trust that, even if I take a few days off because I'm not feeling passionate, people will still want to come back because of the kind of content I create, and so I completely refuse to neglect my body and my soul or anything and I'm pretty good at this anyway but I think there's going to be a collective shift of people taking more care of themselves, and one of the things that I think is really going to start to come in is breathwork and doing something that is more of a devotional practice that allows people to regulate their nervous systems and consistently come back to what do I really want to build?
Speaker 1:And just creating and building something that feels really honest for what they actually want to live, versus again, it's coming back to that should thing what they think they should be creating, like do you really need the million dollar business, like some people, it's exactly what they want to create, or does it look like a little bit less? There's no shame in either one. You know I love creating, like even just recording this right now is such like a passion for me, like I love creating this content, so I don't mind having big business, like it fuels me, I love it, it's my outlet. But for anyone that doesn't feel like that, then maybe it's not 100% aligned and I think making again even those kinds of decisions will fall into the connection that we have to our body and our soul. You know, stop allowing the mind to run things so much and allow the body and the soul to really come in. And if you want that to really, you know some guidance on doing that. I recommend coming into I Am School because that is like the entire premise of that program. It's reconnecting to your body and to spirit and then manifesting everything that you want, breaking through energetic ceilings by manifesting through body and soul and not so much the mind. The mind is like a nice little bonus that we can use, but it shouldn't be the thing that is driving all of our decisions and everything. So I think devotional self-care is very much going to be in.
Speaker 1:I think another thing that is going to be out is getting caught up in industry trends and these kind of very fast paced like trends that we see on like TikTok and Instagram, and I think there's going to be a real push towards like, longer form content. And we've seen a couple of reasons for this. There was a TikTok convention that happened recently, or a TikTok report Can't remember exactly what it was now, can't remember exactly what it was now, um but tiktok basically said that they were now going to start prioritizing and pushing out content where people were using landscape videos, which is interesting, because a while back, they actually said they weren't going to push that content. But it's recently come out that youtube is actually one of the highest used streaming platforms that people use on TV over like Netflix and everything else, and that's YouTube, and that's because of vertical content, and so they're making so much money because of that, and I think TikTok is going to start following suit, and so I think there's going to be a deprioritization of very fast content, like those one second videos that we saw on like, you know, instagram. I just don't think that's going to be a thing anymore.
Speaker 1:I think it's going to be a real push towards like longer form content and really taking time to craft again caricatures and like thinking about like just very crafted content. You know, it doesn't necessarily need to be like, really thought through, but just like taking the time to sit down and have a longer conversation. I think that's going to be prioritized slightly more and I think it's also what people are going to be looking for coming into the new year in 2025. And I think brands that can establish like a stream of longer form content and can connect their shorter form content to their longer form content I think it's going to do them a world of good and I think we're going to see those brands grow really fast, especially if TikTok changes that Now. I know that at at the moment, there is still the potentiality that TikTok could get banned in America. If that's the case, I think people are going to move to either Instagram or YouTube and, again, I think there's going to be still the prioritization of longer form content that we're going to be seeing. So, either way, I do think that there's going to be less of a hopping on the trends of like what everyone else is doing, and more of a prioritization of what do I want to say today, how can I add value and how can I create my own dialogue in this industry? Again, it's the prioritization of coming back to what's important to you not shoulds, not I should do this trend, but I want to do this piece of content because it's aligned for me.
Speaker 1:I think another thing that's going to be left far, far in 2024, if not in 2023, 2023 is shame-based marketing, and I think anyone that is currently still running their businesses from that shame-based marketing thing I think people are just going to get completely over it. Like that is so old bro style content that is just not going to be welcome in like the new era that we're going into. Like people don't want to be spoken down to like that, and I think people are starting to become much more aware of, like how shame-based marketing makes them feel, people becoming more aware of their emotions, and if a piece of content is making you feel like shit, people are just going to unsubscribe. So I think there's going to be a real shift towards if anyone hasn't done it yet creating more empowering content that is longer form and genuinely like helping people. Like we can still like this isn't like having to go into like huge educational content or anything like that, but it's like creating the post that you were going to create, but doing it with like more context that you remove some of the shame you know and like giving people the option to rise and elevating people up instead of crushing people down. And you know, it's funny like I see a lot of people talk about anti-shame marketing through doing shame marketing and it's they're not fully understanding through doing shame marketing and like I don't think it's fully landed that like there's a better way of even calling out that than shaming people through it. So I think really empowering educators, we are going to see a big rise of people that make people feel good, that help people to build their mental health and resilience. I think we're going to see a really big rise of as well.
Speaker 1:And lastly, I this is just like a general, like prediction for the industry but like I feel like there's going to be a really big shift away from people just teaching like content and like high end marketing. Like I don't know, I started talking about high-end marketing maybe four years ago and now every other person is speaking about that Like same with authority. Like I was speaking about authority when no one was speaking about authority. Now everyone and their aunt is speaking about authority, like it's crazy. But I think there's going to be a real shift towards people starting to need to bring in more of like the emotional kind of content where it's more about who you're becoming and who you're being.
Speaker 1:So anyone that's in a non-tangible niche right now relationship coaching, money coaching, self-love coaching, whatever it is I think that you're actually going to be in a really strong position to grow brands this year.
Speaker 1:I actually think it's the easiest type of brand to grow at the moment is, as long as you commit to it, you create good symptom specific content and demonstration content, I think you've got a really really good chance to grow.
Speaker 1:I think the kind of brands that are going to grow less are going to be more just about marketing and I think if you are doing like just marketing stuff, like try to bring in an element of like emotional development as well, because I think people really want that human aspect, like now we have you know, it's so easy for us to kind of like just Google, a lot of these things and a lot of the industry, all of the stuff that I was teaching around high-end marketing.
Speaker 1:Still, if you haven't learned that stuff, you need to learn it, the psychology of it but a lot of people have learned that now and it's now just an instance of like doing the thing and learning now following kind of the shifts in the industry and applying the content and the marketing knowledge that you have to the shifts in the industry, and I do think that there is going to be a shift away from so much like the need for like lots of logical coaching and logical brands to human driven brands.
Speaker 1:I think there's going to be a real shift towards human driven brands and, yeah, that kind of summarizes all of the points. I think it's just going to really come into human centric brands that are leading from passion, that are leading from spirit driven missions and that aren't operating from shoulds or have tos or anything, and you can almost feel the joy and the care and the creativity pouring out from them as they show up and they create content, they post content. That's what I think is going to be a real shift coming into 2025. Those are the people that we're going to see the rise of the most.
